Legal information about Verificus in compliance with applicable Spanish legislation.
Service provider identification
In compliance with Article 10 of Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), the following information is provided:
Responsible declaration of VeriFactu compliance
In accordance with Royal Decree 1007/2023 of 5 December, approving the Regulation establishing the requirements for computer systems supporting the invoicing processes of businesses and professionals, the producer of Verificus software, Serentill Labs, S.L., makes the following responsible declaration:
Verificus is a high-integrity invoicing system with simultaneous transmission to the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) under the VeriFactu standard. The system complies with all technical and functional requirements set out in the Regulation and its technical specifications published by the AEAT.
Technical requirements met
- Integrity: Invoicing records are unalterable once generated. Any cancellation or substitution creates a new record traceable to the original.
- Non-repudiation: Each record incorporates a digital fingerprint (chained hash) that guarantees its authenticity and unalterability.
- Traceability: The system maintains a chained and verifiable record of all invoicing operations.
- Accessibility: Records are accessible for verification by the AEAT in the formats and technical conditions established by regulation.
- Readability: Records are stored in a structured, readable, and convertible format.
- VeriFactu transmission: The system sends each invoicing record to the AEAT simultaneously with its generation, in accordance with the VERI*FACTU standard.
This responsible declaration is a self-certification by the producer. The Regulation provides for no registration, approval or prior filing with the AEAT: compliance is the producer's own responsibility, and the declaration is issued and kept available for every distributed version of the software.
Personal data protection
Verificus processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD). The privacy policy sets out what data it processes, for what purpose and on what legal basis, for how long, and how rights can be exercised.
Intellectual and industrial property
Verificus software, including its design, source code, interfaces, logos, and content, is protected by Spanish and international intellectual and industrial property legislation. Its reproduction, distribution, public communication, or transformation without the express authorisation of the rights holder is prohibited.
Use of artificial intelligence systems
Received invoices and inbound emails are analysed automatically by an artificial intelligence system to extract their data (issuer, tax ID, amounts, taxes). The extraction can be wrong: every reading carries a confidence level, and uncertain readings are flagged for manual review. Extracted data is a proposal, not a determination: the user is responsible for checking it before relying on it for tax or accounting purposes. This information is provided pursuant to article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act).
Limitation of liability
Verificus is an invoicing tool that facilitates users' compliance with formal obligations. The user is solely responsible for the accuracy, truthfulness, and completeness of the fiscal data entered into the system, as well as the correct application of tax rates and legal conditions applicable to their operations. Verificus does not provide fiscal, legal, or accounting advice. For any queries regarding tax obligations, the user should consult a qualified professional.
Applicable law and jurisdiction
This legal notice and the relationship between Verificus and the user are governed by current Spanish legislation. For the resolution of any dispute arising from the use of the service, the parties submit to the competent courts in accordance with applicable Spanish law, without prejudice to mandatory rules of obligatory application.
